Fundamental Study on Electric Arc Furnace Steelmaking with Submerged Carbon Powder Injection with CO2-O2 Mixed Gas

The technology of submerged carbon powder injection with CO2 and O2 mixed gas (SCPI-COMG) is a new type technology. It can increase the molten bath content improve steel quality by injecting directly into gas. To optimize process parameters this novel technology, mechanism effect SCPI-COMG on EAF steelmaking were investigated in study. Based an induction furnace experiment, effects carburization fluid flow scrap melting analyzed. A mathematical model axis jets liquid was built to analyze impact behaviors steel. results theoretical model, for jet steel, α ≥ 20°, horizontal inject distance decreases increasing 0° ≤ increases increasing. Finally, based newly materials energy balance SCPI-COMG, influences gas-solid technical indexes also analyzed.is very useful optimizing SCPI-COMG. study are Gas Jet Liquid Steel.
